Nurse Practitioner (NP) Position - Integrative Primary Care

Read below to learn more about this Independent Contractor, Part-Time or Full-Time position in Ashland, Oregon!

Practice Medicine in a Different Kind of Clinical Environment

Mederi Center in beautiful Ashland, Oregon is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive integrative primary care to patients throughout Southern Oregon.

There is a growing need in the Rogue Valley for primary care physicians—and particularly for physicians who can provide the accessibility and continuity of primary care while providing a thoughtful, whole-person approach to patient care.

This is a flexible, percentage-based independent contractor opportunity for an NP who wants to practice meaningful medicine within a well-supported, established integrative environment.

Whether you are bringing an established patient panel, looking to build one, transitioning from another practice setting, or returning to clinical practice after time away, we are interested in building something together. An existing patient base is welcome but not required. We are open to finding the right structure for an experienced physician and creating an opportunity that fits their goals and availability.

Practice Primary Care Differently

Our beautiful Ashland clinic was designed to support thoughtful, relationship-based medicine rather than rushed, transactional patient interactions. Our practice model allows for longer, more comprehensive appointments and creates space for practitioners to know their patients and engage with the full picture of each patient’s health.

You will provide comprehensive primary care while incorporating an integrative, whole-person approach that may include prevention, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, botanical medicine, and individualized patient care. You do not need to be an expert in botanical medicine to practice at Mederi. We are looking for an excellent primary care practitioner who is interested in whole-person care and values collaboration with an experienced integrative clinical team.

The Mederi Center has an experienced team of practitioners who practice within the Mederi Care® model, creating an established integrative environment and a community of clinical expertise. At present, however, there is no physician or nurse practitioner at Mederi offering comprehensive primary care services.

We see an opportunity to change that.

Our goal is to build primary care at Mederi thoughtfully, in a way that serves the needs of patients throughout Southern Oregon while allowing the the practitioner to work within the collaborative, integrative environment we have built.

A Calm, Consultation-Focused Clinical Setting

The Mederi clinic offers a comfortable, welcoming setting designed for meaningful patient care. Our furnished treatment rooms are quiet and well suited to consultation, examination, and relationship-based care.

The space is intentionally oriented toward comprehensive outpatient primary care, clinical consultation, prevention, chronic disease management, and ongoing patient relationships.

On-Site Herbal Apothecary for Integrative Care

One of the distinctive resources available at Mederi is our extensive on-site herbal apothecary, staffed by an experienced herbalist.

The apothecary includes more than 350 single-extract botanicals, 40+ dried botanicals, more than 100 proprietary Mederi formulas, and professional-grade nutritional supplements.

You do not need to arrive with extensive botanical medicine experience. Our herbalist is available to collaborate with practitioners and support individualized botanical preparations as part of patient care.

This resource offers an opportunity to explore and incorporate integrative tools into your practice while working within an established clinical team and framework.

You Practice Medicine. We Help with the Rest.

Mederi provides an experienced and dedicated support team designed to help practitioners spend more of their time with patients and less time navigating the operational details surrounding patient care.

You will have a dedicated Client Liaison who assists with:

  • Patient communication and follow-up
  • Preparing charts before appointments
  • Treatment plans and patient handouts
  • Lab and prescription coordination
  • Fullscript recommendations
  • Scheduling and care coordination
  • ChARM EHR workflows and patient documentation
  • Consultation invoicing and insurance billing preparation
  • Referral coordination and prior authorization support

Mederi also provides reception, scheduling, medical records, billing, insurance processing, and clinic infrastructure.

Whether you are accustomed to managing your own practice or coming from a larger healthcare setting, you will have a team supporting the administrative and operational work that surrounds clinical care.

We’re Looking for a True Primary Care Physician

This position is specifically for an NP who is comfortable providing comprehensive primary care and wants to develop ongoing relationships with a primary care patient panel.

The role includes:

  • Preventive and wellness care
  • Acute and chronic condition management
  • Ordering and interpreting laboratory testing
  • Medication management and prescribing within Oregon scope
  • Referrals and coordination with specialists and other providers
  • Ongoing management of a primary care patient panel
  • Patient education and shared decision-making
  • Integration of nutrition, lifestyle medicine, botanical medicine, and other appropriate integrative approaches
  • Thoughtful management of both straightforward and complex health concerns

We are looking for a physician who sees primary care as more than addressing the immediate complaint—someone who values continuity, prevention, clinical curiosity, and understanding the person behind the diagnosis.

Insurance Credentialing? We’ll Handle It.

You do not need to arrive credentialed with every insurance plan.

Mederi will initiate and manage all insurance credentialing processes for the plans we participate with and will support the administrative requirements associated with becoming an in-network provider.

Maybe It’s Time to Practice Differently

There are many reasons an experienced practitioner may be looking for a different way to practice.

Maybe you are ready for a setting where appointments feel less rushed and patient relationships have room to develop. Maybe you value integrative medicine but want the support of a broader clinical team. Maybe you are transitioning from private practice and would rather spend less energy on the operational side of medicine. Or perhaps you are returning to clinical practice and looking for a flexible way to re-engage.

At Mederi, we believe quality and connection matter—for patients and practitioners alike.

Insurance and healthcare systems inevitably come with constraints, but within those constraints, we work to create a practice environment that is thoughtful, human, and sustainable. We value time for meaningful conversations, individualized care, clinical collaboration, and the relationships that make primary care rewarding.

You bring your experience, perspective, and approach to medicine. We provide a beautiful clinical setting, an experienced support team, and the resources to help you focus on what you do best—caring for your patients.

Interested?
