Retreats Cancellation Policy

Mederi Center Retreats Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policy below will apply for all cancellation scenarios, with no exceptions. This cancellation policy has been designed to be as compassionate as possible in the case that plans change, while also recognizing our commitment to and cancellation policies with our vendors.

Cancellation by Participant

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to our team member, Andi Malden at amalden@mederifoundation.org. If there is another retreat available at a later date and you would like to switch from one retreat date to another retreat date, this is considered a cancellation of the original retreat and will follow the cancellation rules below.

There will be no refunds under any circumstances.

For cancellations made more than 90 days prior to the retreat start date, any payments made may either be transferred to a friend or family member, or to another retreat that is currently open for registration on the Mederi Center website, within 7 days of your cancellation email. If there is no other retreat available, the cancellation rule below for cancellations made 90 days or less prior to the retreat start date applies.

For cancellations made 90 days or less prior to the retreat start date, any payments made may be transferred to a friend or family member, otherwise all payments will be forfeited and you should contact your travel insurance company for reimbursements. Mederi Center cannot refund any payments for any reason (COVID, injury, illness, death). We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

For transfers to friends or family members, their information must be updated in the booking system and their contact information must be emailed to our team at amalden@mederifoundation.org at the time of the transfer.

Payments may only be transferred to another Mederi Center retreat one time.

Cancellation Fees

The cancellation fee is the amount equal to the entire cost for that retreat.

Delays and Other Unforseen Circumstances

There will be no refunds nor discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. For additional protection due to any unforeseen circumstances, it is highly recommended that all participants purchase travel insurance at the time of booking the retreat.

Cancellation by Mederi Center

In the rare event of a cancellation by Mederi Center due to low registrations, the participant will be given the option to transfer all payments to a future retreat or to receive a full refund. Mederi Center cannot compensate participants for airfare, hotel and travel costs incurred.

In the rare event of a cancellation by Mederi Center due to dangerous weather, political unrest, acts of god and other force majeure events, any refund provided will depend on Mederi Center receiving a refund from the venue. Mederi Center cannot compensate participants for airfare, hotel and travel costs incurred.

To cover these risks, it is strongly recommended that all participants purchase travel insurance.

Mederi Center reserves the right to refuse or cancel any participant's registration for any reason. In this case, a full refund will be provided.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance can protect participants against participant cancellation, Mederi Center cancellation, lost or delayed baggage, medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should the participant become ill or injured. It is strongly recommended that all participants purchase travel insurance, including a 'cancel for any reason' option in order to protect them against the rare chance of cancellation. Travel insurance can be purchased at Insure My Trip.

Retreat Changes

Mederi Center reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary by its team, leaders, teachers or business partners.
